Land
EHD collaborates with landowners, planning consultants, and electrical engineers to bring utility-scale renewable developments to fruition. The team actively identifies landowners interested in securing long-term lease agreements or divesting land for battery storage and solar PV integration.
The Development Cycle
EHD manages the end-to-end complexity of the development process through five core stages:
-
Assessment: A comprehensive property review to confirm site suitability for solar or battery infrastructure.
-
Grid Integration: Coordination with local electricity distribution or transmission networks to secure viable grid connections.
-
Planning: Preparation and promotion of the site through the planning process to secure all necessary statutory permissions.
-
Property Lease: Formulation of an "Option to Lease" that protects landowner interests while providing the security required to raise project finance.
-
Development Funding: Identifying long-term owners and operators, typically dedicated infrastructure funds or pension companies, to ensure the project’s lifecycle stability.
Why choose Energy Hub Developments?
Energy Hub Developments differentiates itself to other developers because landowners have access to the decision makers in the business. We deliberately limit the number of projects we undertake to those with the greatest chance of successful delivery.
We have a three year partnership with Gresham House Plc to acquire shovel ready assets but can potentially work with other funders as well, if the scheme is not right for Gresham.
Your development will therefore be one of a few projects which we will undertake at any one time: it will not be lost amongst a large pipeline of projects. While one of our team will have overall responsibility for your project, the whole team will track its progress day-to-day.
Our goal is to help support and accelerate the net zero energy transition. Our other sectors in the business are involved in Electric Vehicle charging, Hydrogen generation, vertical farming and re-wilding.
