Energy Hub Developments
Energy Hub Developments develops solar farms and energy storage assets in Europe, North America and Asia.
In the last three years Energy Hub Developments has successfully secured 7 sites in England and Scotland with landowners, achieved planning consents and enabled over 4GW of renewables to be brought to market ready for investors.
Scotland has 5 sites with a combined BESS of over 2.1GW utilising shared connections in key prime locations including Branxton, one of GB’s best location for BESS. Branxton is the site of the first of 4 new transmission cables from Scotland to England and Europe’s largest windfarm – SSE’s 4GW Berwick Bank windfarm. This will be the most used BESS location in GB with low cost grid power, and EHD have secured and received consent for a 480MW and a 170MW BESS creating a shared connection of 650MW of battery storage.
Other key sites in EHD's UK portfolio include Cockenzie, with 342MW ready to be energised for 2027 and is in the process of being built. There are 456MW shared connections at Gretna Green and a 300MW shared connection at Mossmorran, both with potential opportunities for Solar to be added, the Solar sites have already been scoped.
Kincardine has a 342MW connection located in a prime site, next to the Kincardine substation.
In England, there are two prime locations, Rayleigh, a 480MW BESS connecting directly into the main Rayleigh substation and Ocker Hill a 240MW BESS site being developed in an urban environment creating energy for the local communities.
Energy Hub Developments is currently looking for new sites to create more opportunities in land development.
We specialise in working with landowners to achieve secure and long-term income from agricultural, commercial and brownfield sites.
